It is illegal to sell new wood heaters that do not comply with AS/NZS 4012:2014 and AS/NZS 4013:2014.

The AHHA encourages customers to replace any wood heaters that do not comply with these standards. When replacing your wood heater, look for the AHHA logo and Landcare logos to ensure your new wood heater complies with current standards and has minimal impact on the environment.

Certified wood heaters are a clean and efficient form of heating, and the AHHA has introduced a robust certification procedure to ensure wood heater models being sold comply with the current Australia and New Zealand Standards.
