The Australian Home Heating Association is the peak industry body representing manufacturers of wood heaters, solid-fuel retailers, installers, fuel merchants and those who supply product to the industry. The Association is dedicated to an ecologically sustainable industry serving the best interests of the Australian community and the members of the AHHA. We are committed to improving urban air quality through continued reduction in the emissions of wood-smoke, which can be achieved through improved technology and better-informed users of wood heaters. We are also committed to an ecologically sound supply of firewood through our support of Landcare, providing funding for Farm Forestry projects of Firewood Plantations, and better integration of conventional logging operations with firewood supply.
The AHHA conducts various Public Relation Campaigns throughout the year. These PR Campaigns ensure that positive information on wood heating is provided and continue to inform and educate consumers on the correct use of wood heaters. This also includes the importance of maintenance and the use of professionals in these areas.
The Association is only able to make representation to relevant government bodies because of the ongoing support of their members, through the monies gained from membership subscription and time donated in assisting Association Management in addressing specific concerns.
The Association represents the industry on the Standards Committee for the development of all industry Standards. We ensure that the industry is appropriately represented and any suggested changes are acceptable to the industry and a suitable timeframe is allocated to allow for smooth transition.
Membership of the Association runs from January for the calendar year. A membership fee of $247.50 applies plus a once off joining fee of $1,000 for Levy Contributors and $55.00 for other members.
As a Member you will be included on our Membership Data Base. This allows the AHHA to keep you informed of current Association and Industry information.
